I am a strong believer in living life by creating limitless possibilities. My true passion is living joyful life to the fullest and maximizing all my potentials for myself and the goodness of others.  As an Indonesian native who relocated to Southern California 20 years ago, I grew up embracing many things including different cultures, perceptions and ideas just to name a few. I have been blessed and grateful to have many great things in life such as a loving and supportive husband, family and friends. My husband has always inspired and encouraged me to write about my passions and express my joy of living therefore this website was created. He is my number one motivator and pillar of strength and I love him dearly. His unconditional love and support for me always encourages me to be the best that I can be. I also give many credits to the highly supportive circle of friends I have around me.  I am very grateful to have them in my life because they have helped me grow, create and be the person that I am. I have so much love for every one of them in a sense that I constantly feel responsible for their wellness.

I choose women empowerment as my strong suit in particular because as a woman, I am aware that we are always in a juggling act. We are fragile but yet we are strong enough to play many roles in lives. Often times these roles make us lose ourselves, decrease our self confidence and prevent us from achieving our dreams or creating our own reality. I believe that every one of us woman has a Goddess or Goddesses in us. “Goddess” in my vocabulary means any characteristic that reflects a woman’s divine soul, divine love and divine beauty for the goodness of herself, others and the whole universe.  I have declared that it is my purpose to live and revive the Goddess of every woman who comes into my life. I hope that by sharing some wisdom, perceptions and ideas we will all gain new insights and live the powerful life full with endless possibilities. Other things that I enjoy doing in my own time include exercising, dancing (Latin and Bollywood in particular), hiking in nature, being in nature, foreign traveling , socializing, cooking, music, playing piano, kundalini yoga, learning something new (current interest: healing methods), bonding time with close friends (that includes great food and cocktails),  playing with my dog Poco and spending quality time with my husband.

Angelina Handayani

Fashion/Health/Beauty Contributor

Angelina is much more than just a multi-talented fashion designer.  She is a truly wholesome woman in a sense that she creates her clothing designs with so much creativity yet high in passion and kindness.  After the big move from Indonesia in 1995, she started her exciting life journey in northern part of Washington to Arizona to attend Arizona State University in pursuance of her Bachelors degree in Marketing with a minor in Finance.  Excelling in academics was not enough for Angelina since her dream was to design clothing where she can encompass all her artistic ability and creativity in fabrics. She then relocated to Los Angeles area a decade ago and attended Los Angeles Fashion Insitute of Design and Merchandising to gain knowledge and mentorship in the fashion design industry. Angelina is currently the senior designer for Stitch’s Jeans, a denim company that fuses vintage, western and rock n roll style into one.  Being that she is an achiever and highly determined she also works on other projects of her own.

Angelina is such a remarkable Goddess to have in my life in such that she is compassionate, caring, determined, motivational and inspirational to her friends and loved ones.  She is a dear friend and I am honored to have her share her passions with us on this site. During her recent visit to Indonesia she met her soul mate whom she will marry in the next year.   Angelina’s interests include working out, eating right, music, hiking in nature, yoga and social connections (that include great food and cocktails). Angelina is a firm believer of a healthy mind and body connection. She eats right and runs miles to maintain the good healthy mind and body connection and her great physique. This year she successfully completed the Los Angeles Marathon which is such a great accomplishment of a lifetime.  It is on this note that she is delighted to contribute her knowledge to us and it is her hope that she can be empowered and make a difference in women’s lives.

Summer Raven

When I first discovered the concept of forming my own reality, truly owning it, I was in my mid twenties. After finishing college with a BA in Communications from San Diego State, my complete life path changed as I knew it and took a turn in an unpredicted direction, I didn’t really know where it was going but I went with it. Up until that point, I was beginning to explode with ideas, possibilities and inner truths that were all so confusing yet interesting to work through.

I really have to give a lot of credit to my strong friendship circle throughout my adulthood that allowed me to grow, explore, create and share dreams. I was Goddess  in training. We supported each other to unravel our inner mysteries and for that I am forever grateful.

My “truth” is ever evolving and expanding. Over the years I have learned to recognize my talents and have allowed the courage to shape my reality around them.  My first love in the healing realm was learning to work with crystals and their energies. From that passion I created my jewelry line, Summer Raven Creations…Goddess Adornments. My jewelry creations are based off my original interests in crystal healing and encompass my love for unique art.  I thrive with custom work, including special occasion, unique bridal jewelry and engagement rings.

Some other interests of mine include, making specialty herbal blends (a story for another time), photography, travel, belly dance, fire dance,  clothing design/fashion, sound healing, learning of all kinds, social connections, the outdoors, yoga and dreaming.

Gwen M.

Food and Travel Contributor

Gwen has always been passionate towards foreign traveling, culture and language. She graduated with her Masters degree in education with the emphasis of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of other languages). She truly enjoys writing and keeping daily journals about her travels. A multilingual educator by profession, her love for travel and food has taken her to Asia, Latin America, and Europe.

“The best travel experiences are defined by two things:  the people and the food.”  She continues to find the next great travel experience abroad and at home in Southern California. I am honored and grateful to have her share her traveling experience on this site.

In her spare time, she travels, plays tennis, hikes in nature, exercises and hunts for great desserts.

Luvina R.

Music and Art Contributor

Luvina is highly passionate in visual art, music and surrealist photography. Her love for music and art started since her early teenage years in Indonesia.  She relocated to Los Angeles area in her late teen years and studied make-up and costume art. She is fortunate to be able to stay in tune with her passion in music and art with her present profession in a  real estate investment company.  She is eager to share her goddess rhythms with us on a regular basis and I am very grateful for her ideas.

She continues to live her fullest life by dancing, religiously attending live shows of her favorite musicians, doing make up artwork and designing costumes. Her latest major project is artistic and creative gift wrapping.
